OuchRPG

Introduction

OuchRPG is a free online text-based role-playing game operated by Brainbox. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

What Information We Collect

OuchRPG collects only the data necessary to provide its core functionality:

• Account information: When you log in using Google or Facebook, we receive your display name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. We do not collect passwords or other credentials from these providers.
• Game saves: Your game progress is stored locally in your browser session. When you log in, you can also save to the cloud so you can access your game from any device.
• Usage data: We may collect basic server logs (IP address, browser type, referrer, timestamps) for security and debugging purposes. These logs are retained for up to 90 days.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the OuchRPG service
• Authenticate your identity and manage your account
• Store and sync your game saves across devices
• Improve the game and fix bugs
• Ensure the security and integrity of our platform

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Third-Party Services

OuchRPG uses the following third-party services:

• Google Sign-In: If you log in with Google, your data is handled according to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Facebook Login: If you log in with Facebook, your data is handled according to Facebook's Data Policy.

We only request the minimum permissions needed for authentication (name, email, profile picture).

Data Storage

Your game save data is stored in a SQLite database on our servers. Local game sessions use PHP sessions stored server-side. We implement industry-standard measures to protect your data, including access controls and session token encryption.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your game save data

Data Deletion

To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at hello@archanium.net. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Cookies

OuchRPG uses a single session cookie (ouchrpg_session) to maintain your logged-in state. This cookie is HTTP-only and expires after 30 days of inactivity. No tracking or analytics cookies are used.

Children's Privacy

OuchRPG is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect when changes were made.
